One of the hardest things about living with a chronic illness is finding activities you can enjoy on a regular basis.
It’s no fun when you accidentally overdo something and then are wiped out for the next day - or three. You also know you need to be doing some sort of exercise so you don’t lose muscle. But going to an hour, or even 30-minute yoga or exercise class on a regular basis can cause those regressions.
One of the things I love about being a yoga student and teacher is learning what’s best for my health and wellness. And one promising thing I’ve learned from research over the last few years is that doing just 10 minutes of yoga a day, actually has more of a positive effect on wellbeing, than doing a 1-hour class once a week. This is great news for the chronic illness community - little bits of activity - as little as 10 minutes- can actually make a huge impact on your health.
I wanted to create this mini-course to give people a way to get in those daily - or almost daily - practices that aren't going to make them feel worse.
The course includes:
10 x 10-minute videos that you’ll have access to for life.
A month of email support from me, so practice the videos daily or spread them out over a month.
Why try the yoga for chronic pain course?
The videos will help you better manage pain, and the stress caused by that pain. It will also help stretch and strengthen the body so you can begin to recondition your body if you’ve been inactive due to illness.
There will be a practice for every energy level, including practices you can do on the not-getting-out-of-bed days. As well as for days when you feel like you have more energy.
